Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pewbeam desktop application ("Pewbeam", "the App", "the Software") provided by Pewbeam Technologies Limited, trading as Pewbeam ("Pewbeam", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Pewbeam, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. Overview

Pewbeam is a desktop application that provides real-time Bible verse detection during sermons. The Software captures audio, transcribes speech, identifies scripture references, and displays matching Bible verses on screen via in-app preview, NDI, or HDMI output.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use Pewbeam. By using the Software, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. License to Use

3.1 Software License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Pewbeam on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, organizational, or ministry use.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of Pewbeam
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, or lend the Software to third parties
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software

Pewbeam licenses are tied to specific devices using a hardware-based device fingerprint. The number of devices you may activate depends on your subscription plan:

  • Free — 1 device
  • Plus — 1 device
  • Core — Multiple devices (as specified in your plan)

You may deactivate a device from within the app to free up an activation slot.

  • Plus ($15/month) — Unlimited transcription, all themes, custom theme creation, sermon notes, offline transcription (macOS), no watermark.
  • Core (Contact us) — Everything in Plus, plus multi-device support, dual output channels, priority support, and advanced AI features.

4.2 Billing and Renewal
